Growing up around the diversity of the Bay Area exposed to me to many different communities, I was surrounded by people with distinct backgrounds but who shared similar experiences and frustrations without knowing it. I believe that people are unique, interesting, and everyone has their own individual story to tell worth listening to.
From making my own comics and very low budget Pokémon YouTube videos with a DS and a dream as a kid to drawing and painting now, I’ve always loved the process of creating.
I discovered product design was the perfect intersection of things that get me out of bed every morning. Creativity, strategy, problem-solving and most importantly working to help my fellow human drive me to learn and improve every single day.

With design, I always start with 2 questions: Who are we helping and why? I prioritize user research and understanding as the primary step in my design process, it puts me in the shoes of my users and helps me understand what they need and how I can help. People deserve to be heard and they deserve to have solutions that are tailored to their needs.

As a former hockey player, I understand that being successful means being a team player. Collaborating with cross-functional partners like engineers, developers and managers comes naturally to me. Whether it's addressing roadblocks, redoing designs, or taking action on constructive criticism, transparent communication comes above all.

My favorite thing about the design process is rolling with the punches. I approach product design with flexibility and I know that things don't always go as planned. Adaptation and iteration are key. Most of all, I want my users to be taken care of.

Out of Office
Painting and Drawing
This is one of the first full digital portraits I did in Procreate. The person depicted is the artist Beabadoobee. Spider-man: Into the Spiderverse is the movie that began my art journey and it's probably my favorite hobby now.
Going Birdwatching (feat. Osprey)
Birdwatching and bird photography is one of my favorite ways to relax and get out into nature. There's so many bird species to learn! My favorite bird is the barn owl but the harpy eagle is a close second.

Getting Active
Exercising is one of my non negotiables. My favorite way to sweat is by playing sports but I also love lifting weights and hiking. Unfortunately I am a Manchester United fan, and the Warriors do nothing but let me down.
Exploring Nature
I am incredibly lucky to live in the beautiful state of California with plenty of access to breathtaking hiking trails and more beaches than I can count. I do my best to get outside at least a few times a week and enjoy my surroundings.
Traveling
I am also incredibly fortunate to have been able to travel both in and out of the country. Traveling is my favorite thing to do, there is so much to learn and experience from other cultures and I wish I could do it 24/7. This photo is a random street in Barcelona, which is my favorite city I've been to.
